Self-service for reduced mobility

“Elenium’s systems are highly intuitive, capable of working in both light and dark environments, and importantly, provide passengers with limited mobility a seamless airport experience.” Frost & Sullivan

Passengers of all demographics, especially passengers with reduced mobility, can be daunted by the thought of moving through an airport terminal and self-service should be part of the solution. To achieve this we need to take advantage of technologies like gesture control, voice recognition, computer vision and self-tagging bag drops, to eliminate restrictive interfaces and the cumbersome need to tag bags. Increasing levels of automation are used to make our daily lives more approachable, and to achieve democratization in our industry we need to deploy it correctly rather than resting on the decades-old self-service model.

Elenium Automation has been recognised as a global leader in the airport self-service market with systems for all passengers, receiving Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices Technology Innovation Leadership Award. Steven Lopez, Best Practices Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, said: “Elenium’s systems are highly intuitive, capable of working in both light and dark environments, and importantly, provide passengers with limited mobility a seamless airport experience.”
